Tepat pada tanggal 8 September kemarin, wordpress meliris seri atau versi terbarunya yaiti 2.6.2 yang mana dapat kita lihat pada dashboard kita masing-masing. Seri ini atau versi 2.6.2 ini menurut Stefan Esser  ada beberapa hal yang sangat riskan pada SQL Column Truncation and the weakness of mt_rand(). Tapi dengan adanya warning yang diberikan olehnya menjadikan bahan untuk tim perbaikan dari wordpress itu sendiri. Sehingga dapat diluncurkannya versi 2.6.2 ini.
