This is the true story of Steven. For a fair while, Steven had been looking at ways of making money online. Like most of us when first starting out Steven bought several ebooks and internet marketing courses etc and still found himself left wondering where to start. It seemed to him that with all these products he’d bought they expected him to already know some of the technical stuff. Problem was, he didn’t. He barely knew how to send an email.

Not being one to give up too easily, and needing to find a way to supplement the income from his day job, Steven decided to visit a few forums that dealt with the subject of online marketing. It was on one of these forums that he was advised to find himself a mentor. Someone who had already achieved a good level of success and could teach others to follow in his footsteps in a step-by-step approach to making money online on an ongoing basis.

This was good advice. The slow way to learn about making money online is by trial and error. You’ll make a ton of mistakes in the process and some of them may be expensive mistakes. The faster way is to learn from someone who has already made those mistakes for you and has taking the hard knocks so that you don’t have to.

If you can find a mentor that has a knack for teaching in a true step-by-step manner and one who doesn’t assume that you already know the techie stuff, then you should definitely hold onto that mentor with both hands and devour everything he or she can teach you. Seriously, it’s the fastest route to get where you want to be, i.e. to be earning a regular extra income from your online activities.

Back to Steven’s quest!

Steven did a lot of research online, asked a lot of questions and found two or three potentially good mentors. One of them was way too expensive, so he was ruled off the list straight away. Steven decided to email the remaining two candidates and ask a few questions. One didn’t ever reply, but the other responded fairly quickly and not only that but he also took the time to answer Steven’s initial questions in detail. It looked very much like Steven had found his man!

And in fact that did prove to be the case.

Steven made his first ever sale online a little under 3 weeks after finding the right mentor to help him and he did so just by following the simple steps he was shown. So if you are on your own quest to make money online then make sure you find yourself the right mentor…and fast!
